Abstract

The transformer, being a key element in the transmission and distribution of electrical energy, understanding its specified parameters is of utmost importance for power engineers. The most important design parameter of the transformer is the percentage impedance % Z (Leakage Impedance).

This paper provides information about the significance of percentage impedance of transformer & discusses the methods of measurement of percentage impedance of transformer.
