The experiment was laid in strip plot design replicated thrice to assess the performance of three rice cultivation systems (SRI, conventional and Direct Sowing) in horizontal plots and to find the best management practices with four nutrient management practices (RDF through inorganic fertilizer; RDF + Azolla; RDF +BGA; RDF+Azolla+ BGA invertical plots under different rice cultivation systems. The results revealed that SRI recorded significantly higher grain and straw yield. Among the different nutrient management options, application of recommended dose of fertilizeralong with Azolla and BGA in SRI resulted in significantly higher grain (6117 kg/ha) and Maximum harvest index (0.43). Application of recommended dose of fertilizer in conventional system recorded maximum straw yield (9241 kg/ha). Top Keywords Inorganic fertilize, Azolla, Blue green Algae, grain straw, Harvest index.
