Abstract Cellular membrane stability index (MSI) and Nitrate reductase activity (NRA) was recorded in the leaves of Avena species grown under well watered (control), extreme stress (by with holding water) and re-watered condition both at vegetative and flowering stage of the crop in pot culture. Avena abyssinica, A. maroccana and A. brevis were selected as drought tolerant species which can be utilized for further improvement programme. Top Keywords Avena, Drought, Flowering stage, Moisture stress, Oat, Vegetative stage. Top | | |
