Abstract Metal catalysed oxidation of Arginine by Potassium permangate in highly basic medium were studied spectrophotometrically over the range 20< t< 30°C, I= 0.5, 2x10−4 < oxidant < 9x10−4 mol/dm3, 1x10−7< catalyst< 5x10−7 mol/dm3.
