Abstract

The goal of the study to find the amino acid content qualitatively and quantitatively from Crab shell waste aiding chemically and enzymatically. The extraction of amino acid primarily with separating total protein content from the crab shell which posses protein content of 0.054 mcg by Lowry method. Based on the protein content the crab shell waste was extracted for its total amino acid content chemically-Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate which yielded a amino acid concentration of 0.023 g and the type of amino acid phenylalanine and tryphtophan. Similarly on enzymatic-Proteinase K treatment yielded a amino acid content of 0.096 g and also it possesses different type of amino acid the crab shell waste which include tryotohan, phenylalanine, threonine, valine, leucine, isoleucine, cystine, lysine etc contained in it. The amino acid type was measured at 200 to 500 nm and the λ max was calculated with the standard amino acid. Based on these data the crab shell waste treated with Proteinase K was evaluated for its growth promoting property with the seed cultivation and microbial which exhibited a significant ratio of 297 mg amino acid in seed germination with 7.27 cm shoot development and for microbial population of about 7.68 x 108.
