Online published on 12 January, 2017. Abstract In the present work evaluation of improved Antagonistic bacterial activity of antibiotic Meropenem with silver Nanodriblets, against Listeria monocytogens was studied. Respective Nanodriblets and nanoconjugates were amalgamated by chemical lessening method and synthesized Nanodriblets and nanoconjugates were categorized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, electron microscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Energydispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The synthesized Driblets were loaded into the respective antibiotics and the nanoformulated antibiotics were further characterized and showed 60 to 100 fold increase of antagonistic bacterial activity against the tested bacteria. Least minimal inhibitory concentration was also recorded in nanoformulated antibiotics. This study suggest possible utilization of nanoformulated antibiotics as a novel therapeutic agents against pathogenic bacteria.
