Rivers are basic for all living life form on the earth. The current examination was led to assess water quality status of Chambal River subsequent to intersection the urban zone of Kota. The physico-chemical parameter as Temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Hardness, Calcium Hardness, Magnesium hardness and Chloride and so on were utilized to analyse the contamination index of river Chambal at selected sites in district Kota Rajasthan statistical analysis was also be carried out for the probability of difference between populations.
