Abstract Solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) of glyburide with different lipids like palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, glyceryl monostearate were prepared by microemulsion dispersion technique. A short-term stability study of lyophilized preformulated SLNs containing the glyburide loaded different solid lipids were performed. Different stability parameters like particle size, polydispersity index (PDI), zeta potential were evaluated to optimize the best formula. Formulation with glyceryl monostearate showed the most stable form with their less particle size and acceptable polydispersity index and zeta potential. Therefore, SLNs with glyceryl monostearate considered for the further formulation design.
