Online published on 24 December, 2019. Abstract Chemical modification of PVC using 2-(((5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)imino)methyl) benzoic acid as a ligand (L) with Cu(II) and Sn(II) metals has been successfully prepared. The present study focused on modification of PVC films 2-(5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)imino)methyl) benzoic acid complexes. Modified Poly(vinyl chloride) films with Cu (II) and Sn (II) have been synthesized in order to investigate some transition metal complexes role in the PVC modification. The synthesized complexes were confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy, Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis (EDX), scanning electronic microscope (SEM) and microscope.
