Abstract The present study describes method development and validation of aspirin and curcumin simultaneously by absorption correction method by UV spectroscopy. The maximum wavelength selected for this method were 227nm and 427nm for aspirin and curcumin respectively with ethanol. The described method was linear at 2–12 μg/ml for aspirin 1–6 μg/ml for curcumin. The correlation coefficient was 0.999 for both aspirin and curcumin. The recovery of the drugs was above 95%. The interday and intraday precision were within the limit for both the drug (RSD <2). The proposed method is simple, accurate and cost effective which can be used for analysis of both drugs from bulk and new formulations. Top Keywords Aspirin, Curcumin, Validation, UV, Formulation.
