From morphological, biochemical analysis and 16S rRNA sequencing, one lead resistant bacteria isolate was identified as Brevibacillus brevis. Maximum tolerance concentration (MTC) was shown against the lead acetate at different levels. The higher MTC was observed 1500 μg/ml concentration of lead acetate. The present study reveals that the lead resistant bacterial isolate can be used for bioremediation of lead.
