Methods/Statistical analysis A total of 24 female participants in 20s were divided into 3 groups: stretching (SG; n=8), taping (TG; n=8), and stretching with taping (STG; n=8). Taping and elastic band were used for 6 weeks to reduce hallux valgus angle, and changes in the hallux valgus angle and balance were observed. Findings Hallux valgus angle significantly decreased in stretching group, taping group, and stretching with taping group. YMean values were significantly increased in the group with simultaneous stretching and taping. Improvements/Applications The application of stretching exercise using taping and elastic band at the hallux valgus angle is thought to be an effective method to reduce the hallux valgus deformity.
