Using of seeds for the pharmacological applications is rare. We used Avocado seed for the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity against disease causing pathogens. Phytochemical screening was carried out for methanol, ethyl acetate and petroleum ether extracts. The good results were observed for antioxidant activity using DPPH radical scavenging activity test. The antimicrobial activity against gram negative bacteria such as Klebsiella pneumoniae, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Salmonella typhi and gram positive bacteria like Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus.
