In this present investigation ethanol and aqueous solvent used for the algal extract preparation. The phytochemicals such as steroids, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, tannins, saponins, quinines and cardiac glycosides, protein and sugars anlysed using biochemical test. The wound infection causing bacteria from pus samples were used for antimicrobial activity of spirulina extracts. The antimicrobial activity against wound infection pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus pyogenes and Enterococci were analyzed by Agar well diffusion method and paper disc diffusion method shows good zone of inhibition indicates the pharmacological properties of spirulina extracts.
