HPTLC method was adopted to confirm the presence of these common secondary metabolites in the tested commercial herbal formulations. Results of the study clearly revealed the presence of rutin, quercetin, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, mangiferin responsible for hepatoprotective activity. The developed HPTLC method can be employed for the routine investigations of abov revealed markers in commercial herbal formulations.
