Online published on 24 May, 2018. Abstract This study aimed to determine the emergency preparedness of private school teachers of Delhi NCR region. In this study, the data was collected from the respondents via Google forms through a self-constructed questionnaire. The tool consisted of 16 items. The study found that though the teachers were aware about their duties and responsibilities as a disaster service worker during a disaster but the majority of them were not actually trained for disaster management in the schools. They were not provided with enough training so they can manage a disaster in the school. The study also determined some of the important barriers in implementing disaster management plans in the school according to the teachers.
