Mathematical and Thermodynamical Analysis of Stirling Cryocooler

We envisage the bright future of Stirling crycoolers owing to its profitability in all respects. The piston free displacer (FPFD) an important type of miniature Stirling crycooler has been favored for the infrared sensors and electronic applications. Different devices like motor can control piston and displacer independently. Thus much better results can be defined. Various equations concerning to dynamic and thermodynamic analysis of miniature Stirling crycooler and linear motors used to drive piston and displacer have been solved with help of numerical methods. To make the analysis more realistic losses have been considered. Flow losses occur in the regenerator. It divert the performance of Stirling Cryocooler from ideal stirling cryocooler. This has also been calculated in the analysis. The analysis can be carried out by developing a program in ‘Fortran’ language. This program has been used for prompt analysis of motorized piston and motorized displacer. The results have been obtained with a number of iterations and are presented in tabulated and graphic forms, which will provide a helping tool for an analyzer the values of different parameters responsible for the design of cryocooler and thus a best design, can be chalked out. Such design will be a milestone in the development of further research and thus optimum results can be obtained in the field of military, spacecraft and electronic applications
