Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science, AICRP on Betelvine, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur-741 252, West Bengal, India Online published on 3 November, 2011. Abstract Dissipation of copper on betelvine leaves and cropped soil after the application of Bordeaux mixture as spray and drench in field is reported. Copper residues, determined on 0 (lh), 7, 15, 30 and 45 d after sixth spraying and third drenching, ranged from 83–84% in leaves and 71–89% in soil after 45 d of application, depending on the dose. The half-lives were around 17 d in leaves and 15–24 d in soil. The safe waiting period was between 52–67 d in leaves depending on the dose of application.
