Abstract The current study delves into the importance of implementing automation in the libraries of Autonomous Engineering colleges affiliated with JNTU Gurajada, specifically focusing on the challenges that may arise during the automation process such as financial constraints, selecting suitable hardware and software, and providing training and motivation to existing library staff. The study emphasizes the necessity of automation in Autonomous Engineering college libraries and explores various reasons for undertaking such a transition.
