Abstract A Flavonoid isolated from the Indonesian plant Artocarpus altilis (Parkinson) Fosberg, 2-geranyl-2’,3,4,4’-tetrahydroxydihydrochalcone (Code AC-51), has been demonstrated to inhibit significantly platelet aggregation induced by epinephrine (75 µM), Adenosine diphosphate (10 µM) and collagen (5 µg/ml) with concentration to inhibit 50% of platelet aggregation (IC50) 304.4; 322.2 and 315.0 µM, respectively measured by turbidimetric aggregometer in hyper-aggregative human blood. The compound AC-51 inhibited the platelet aggregation through different mechanism comparing to that of Aspirin.
