Abstract

The objective of this study is to demonstrate the impact and importance of librarianship in Corporate World. Further, the study reveals that how is extended scope of librarianship in Corporate Environment. It deals with basic knowledge of Document Management Systems & application of Library & Information Knowledge in DMS. Further this paper highlights the significance of DR S. R Ranganathans's Five Laws of Library Science with ISO Documentation Standards. Discusses implementation of National Knowledge Commission Recommendations in Corporate Librarianship. This paper outlines and discusses the challenges and necessary technological skills needed for corporate librarianship.
