Online published on 18 December, 2018. Abstract Winter coccidiosis caused by Eimeria zuernii in cattle occurs sporadically despite its cosmopolitan prevalence. Faecal sample from a 62 day old cattle calf was received with the complaint of severe bloody diarrhoea, anorexia, weakness and depression from past two days. On microscopic examination, large number of RBCs along with typical Eimeria species oocysts were found in the sample. Based on the morphology of unsporulated and sporulated oocysts, E. zuernii and E. bovis were identified in the sample. The calf was successfully treated with Sulphadiazine and Trimethoprim injection along with supportive therapy for 3 days. Top Keywords Cattle calf, Eimeria zuernii, Eimeria bovis, Winter coccidiosis.
