Abstract Examination of twenty five sheep of an unorganized farm at Poonch district of Jamu region (J&K) revealed presence of Melophagus ovinus on (14%) animals. Treatment with injectable ivermectin @ 200 μg kg−1 body weight along with shearing was effective against natural sheep ked infestation.
