Studies on Fe and Zn Nutrition of Rice at Varying Moisture Regimes in a Black Clay Soil of Uttar Pradesh Tiwari K. N., Pathak A. N., Upadhyay R. L. Division of Soils and Agricultural Chemistry, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh Abstract A greenhouse study with rice var. Sona in a black clay soil of residual origin exhibited significant effect of moisture regimes and Fe and Zn fertilizers on dry matter yield and the concentration of these nutrients in the plant tissues. Total uptake of Fe and Zn was influenced significantly by Fe, Zn and moisture regimes. Mutual antagonism was observed between Fe and Zn. Concentration of Fe was significantly higher under waterlogged condition as compared to field capacity, however, the Zn content was higher at field capacity. Top Keywords Fe and Zn fertilizers, moisture regimes, rice, black clay soil, response, composition, uptake. Top | |
