Abstract

The ulcer or any open tumor may be contaminated with the larvae of the flies the causative agent of myiasis. Therefore, it is important to protect the patients from the attacks of these flies in preventing this type of infection. The aim of this study was to determine the causative agent of myiasis infection in breast cancer in Kashan. The larvae were collected by pence on the breast and on the palm of the patient. Then, these samples were transferred to the laboratory and then identified by the microscope after removing the respiratory holes in the back of the body and assembling it on the lam. In the study of samples of the stigmata (respiratory holes) assembled on a laboratory slide, Lucilia sericata Meigen 1826 (common green bottle fly) was detected. Live larvae fed with lamb were predated and then mature flies. Flies of L. sericata were also identified. A review of studies suggests that a number of flies can cause cancers of myiasis. Cancer open cells in any environment, including the hospital, can cause flies of the myiasis agent. Therefore, the training of hospital staff and family members of patients to protect patients is recommended. Mandatory installation of a suitable mesh for windows and entrance and exit doors is effective in preventing this type of hospital infection.
