Abstract The main objectives of the study was to ascertain the relationship between independent variables (input variables) and dependent variables like mulberry leaf production and silk cocoon production. The data were collected from the selected sericulturists using multistage simple random sampling from the selected districts viz., Aurangabad, Jalna and Latur of the Marathwada region. The results revealed that for the leaf production of mulberry was largely determined by the selected input variables and experience of the respondents in the sericulture field. Among them farmyard manure and experience in sericulture were more prominent to bring about the significant increase in leaf production. In case of cocoon production the independent variables like mulberry leaf, dfls, disinfectants and experience in the line significantly increased the cocoons production.
