Department of Zoology, Vivekanandha College of Arts & Sciences for Women, Elayampalayam, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District, Tamil Nadu, India. Abstract Microbial pesticide Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis (Bti) was used for controlling the malarial vector and dengue vector which gave a significant mortality in both species. The increasing concentration of Bti was highly effective compared to the control. Among the two species of mosquitoes A. stephensi was more susceptible then A. aegypti towards the microbial pesticide Bti. Top | |
