Abstract This research paper presents and analyses the problems of the society with reference to the process of development involving the issues related to the empowerment of women. Human welfare can be promoted through social justice. Women’s empowerment towards sustainable development can be ensured through the efforts of social entrepreneurs and NGOs/Voluntary organizations.
