Human welfare can be promoted through social justice. Women’s empowerment towards sustainable development can be ensured through the efforts of social entrepreneurs and NGOs/Voluntary organizations. Towards this objective the necessity for a change in the role of these organizations has been consistently emphasized through two case studies analyzed in this paper.
