Abstract The study is an empirical study and tries to measure the effect of organizational commitment on job involvement of the secondary school teachers in West Bengal. 808 secondary school teachers are selected as sample through random sampling technique. Out of 808, the sample contains 485 male teachers and 323 female teachers. Raw data are collected through introducing two standardize scale, one is Job involvement scale (JIS) of Akhtar and Singh (2014) and another is Teacher's organizational commitment scale (TOCS) of Jamal and Raheem (2005). The finding of this study included that both job involvement and organization commitment are not differed in relation to gender.
