One hundred and sixty day old commercial broiler chicks were distributed at random into four groups of 20 chicks, each having 2 replicates, were fed probiotic Biospur in the ration at the rate of 0, 25, 50 and 75g per 100 kg upto 6 weeks of age. Body weight gain was significantly higher in the treated groups. Biospur supplementation at higher levels resulted in significantly higher dressing and edible meat yields. The percent kidney, spleen, plancreasand liver did not differ significantly among the various treatments. Cost benefit analysis revealed increasing monetary gain attributable to the higher supplementation levels of Biosper. It is concluded that the performance of broiler chicken was improved when fed with diets containing Biospur @ 75g/100 kg feed upto 6 weeks of age.
