Anxiety in children is prevalent during school days. According to Children's Mental Health Ontario (CMHO), anxiety disorders remain some of the most common and least understood psychiatric conditions. The present study was aimed to find out the effect of Yoga intervention on anxiety level of children aged 11 to 12 years. The sample selected through simple random sampling consisted of 180 school children of both sexes. A total of fifty subjects having moderate to high anxiety levels were selected from Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and were again divided into three groups, for each testing variable: 25 for Experimental group and 25 for Control group. Before starting the practice all the groups went through psychological test for homogeneity of the groups. Control research design has been employed for the study. Practice time was 5 to 15 minutes each morning and the duration was for 45 days. After 45 days again the post-test has been taken for all the three groups. The result of t-test revealed that the Yogic intervention has significant effect at 0.01 level on anxiety level of children aged 11 to 12 years.
