Infants and preschool children are dependent on their mother for nourishment, and if her selection of foods for them is incorrect, they may suffer from malnutrition. During the process of weaning most poor children are a prey to faulty nourishment since they may fed sago kanji (gruel) a substitute for milk and no others foods providing good quality protein. Undernourished children do not grow to their full potential of physical and mental abilities, malnutrition in infancy and childhood leads to stunted growth. The problem facing the health worker in the developing world like India, more evident in the field of child care. The main health problem encountered in the child population that is, low birth weight, malnutrition, infection parasitizes accidents and behavioural problems.
