A total of 150 Department of Nano-science Technology and Advanced material, Saurashtra University-Rajkot were selected as samples. They selected by probability simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by using demographics variables and addiction and Negative impacts were measured by using the Mobile phone Addiction scale and Negative impacts of Mobile phone Addiction Scale. For the addiction factor from 28 (18.67%) students have Low Mobile phone addiction, 114 (76%) have moderate Mobile phone addiction and 8 (5.33%) have High Mobile phone addiction. For the Negative impacts of Mobile phone addiction factor, from 0 (0%) student having Not at all Negative impacts, 74 (49.33%) students having mild Negative impacts, 76 (50.67%) students have moderate Negative impacts and 0 (0%) students having severe Negative impacts. Collected data was analysed by the Pearson correlation test and chi-square methods. Here the mean score of Nomo-phobia is 108.52 and Negative impacts is 59.80 and the standard deviation of Nomo-phobia is 19.08 and Negative impacts is 12.4. And the calculated ‘r;’ value for Nomo-phobia is 0.10. Hence, there was perfect correlation between Nomo-phobia and negative impacts of Nomo-phobia. Top Keywords Nomo-phobia, Mobile phone addiction scale, Negative impacts of Mobile phone addiction scale, Nano-science technology and advanced material students. Top |
