Abstract This study was conducted with objective to assess the pre test and post test knowledge score regarding swine flu and to assess the effectiveness of health awareness programme in this study pre-experimental, one group pre-test post-test research design was used. Based on non-probability convenient sampling technique, after getting informed consent from the study participant, the health awareness programme was conducted. The study findings reveled that in pre test knowledge mean 14.84 and post test score was 20.64 mean percentage of pre test was 46.37% and post test was 64.5% and SD of pre test knowledge was 5.77 and post test was 4.14. Pre test knowledge (2%) were having excellent knowledge, (42%) having good knowledge, (34%) having average knowledge and (22%) having poor knowledge and in post test majority (12%) were having excellent knowledge, (70%) were having good knowledge, (18%) were having average knowledge and (0%) were having poor knowledge. The t-paired test value of knowledge is 5.8 and which are highly significant at p >0.05 which proves the effectiveness of health awareness programme. Top |
