Pathogenicity of Meloidogyne incognita on blackgram Kalita D.N., Phukan P.N. Department of Nematology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat-785 013. Abstract Pathogenicity tests gave conclusive evidence of the destructive potential of Meloidogyne incognita on blackgram. An initial population density of 100 larvae per 0.5 kg of soil at the root region of blackgram caused significant reduction in shoot length and shoot weight and proved to be pathogenic to the plant. The reproductive rate of nematode was maximum at the lowest level of inoculum density and minimum at the highest level of inoculum density. Top Key words Meloidogyne incognita, pathogenicity, blackgram. Top | | |
