Abstract

The root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne incognita and reniform nematode, Rotylenchulus reniformis caused considerable damage to the growth of eggplant. Chopped shoot parts of some plants of the family compositae effectively contained the multiplication of these nematodes, and the root-knot development, consequently the plant growth improved. These additives also showed their manurial value. There was no sign of phyto-toxicity of any additives used.
