For this purpose, the required data has been collected from the Indian Journal of Marine Sciences published from 2001 to 2010. Scientometric tools such as, collaboration index, collaboration co-efficient and dominance factor have been used. Applicability of Lotka's law has been tested. Further, level of collaboration has been observed among the authors. The study reveals that the coauthored papers are dominated and the author productivity follows the Lotka's law.
