Abstract This study is based on the Citation Analysis of the Doctoral theses related to Citation Analysis uploaded by the Department of Library and Information Science from Maharashtra Region during 2012–2019 on Shodhganga. Total 1797 citations were collected from 11 doctoral theses for this study. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the authorship pattern of the citations, type, and form of literature cited and compiled a rank list of core journals in Citation Analysis. The study exposed that among 11 Ph.D., 6 Ph.D. (55%) Output by the Male Researchers while 5 Ph.D. (45%) by the Female Researchers. As well as in Supervisor Gender we have found that 7 Ph.D. (64%) output by the female Supervisors while 4 Ph.Ds. (36%) by the Male Supervisors. Single-authored journals have received the highest number 1188(65%) of total citations followed by two authors 504 (28), three authors 99 (5), four or more authors 40(2%).
