Online Published on 04 July, 2022. Abstract The study attempts to outlines the responses of academic libraries to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting closure of higher education institutions. It has also tried to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the academic library's collection and services during these times of crisis. The current study also identifies the various shades of emerging collections & services to cope with the present pandemic situation by using the academic library's infrastructure. The present study has followed an embedded approach of mixed-method design in terms of addressing briefly the views of librarians, associated with government-aided general degree colleges of West Bengal, and their work practices at this juncture. The study also discusses the major challenges that are faced by the academic library while transforming its collection and services during this unprecedented situation.
