Stress and Its Management among Top LIS Professionals in Haryana: A Study

Abstract

In this techno-savvy environment, where competition going high day by day, the latest technologies, and invention comes rapidly, and it has become major anxiety to manage for all professionals' field. Stress management becomes a burning topic these days because every professional facing stress on a different level. According to Hans Selye "Stress is motivating energy i.e., happiness, hopeful and purposeful movement is called ‘Eustress’ and Stress, which feels unhealthy, inefficiency in work is called ‘Distress’. In this study, data has been collected through Google form 75 authorized library personals and obtained 57(76%) responses out of these, which are quite enough. The data was analyzed and interpreted through MS excel software. After analyzing this study, we found that library professionals are also affected by stress on a different level and thus, we can't ignore stress's impact on our daily life. So, we should manage to decrease stress by using different methods and improving our work efficiency. This paper defines stress, types, reasons, and how to tackle stress among library professionals.
