Summary

Lamina of third leaf of banana cv. Basrai was sampled at different stages and analysed for different nutrient concentration. The leaf content of N, P, K, Mg, Fe, Mn and Zn showed greater association with fruit yield. At Navsari centre, N, K, Mg, Fe, Mn and Zn contents showed a higher degree of association with the yield, while at Gandevi only two nutrients namely, P and Mn showed this association. In all the cases, the nutrients at different stages of growth explained more than 75 per cent of association.
