Abstract

Interdependence of human resource interventions, corporate culture and sustainability practices is established by the published research and theories are build based on the findings. This study is an effort to confirm/validate the established link amongst human resource interventions, corporate culture and sustainability practices, does not involve any primary data but reviews the literature which is broadly divided into two themes. One, there is an interdependence between corporate culture and sustainability practices observed amongst the employees of the organizations, and the other, the impact of human resource interventions on overall sustainable corporate culture of the organizations. The findings reinforce the strong linkage between the sustainability practices and human resource interventions and a moderate linkage between the sustainability practices and company culture. The extant literature reveals that business sustainability will remain the main theme of research studies, and further exploration will take place on the same lines in the coming decades. HR functions along with company culture will decide the role of business sustainability in an organization.
