Abstract The seed spices samples collected from some villages revealed that cigarette beetle Lasioderma serricorne F. was the only storage pest occurring under storage. The storage losses observed were serious and significant in the seed spices studied after one year of storage. It was observed that fenugreek and fennel suffered the least and maximum losses, with the overall weight loss being 3.62 and 60.24%, respectively. The maximum weight loss was observed after seven months of storage, except for fenugreek in which it was after nine months.
