Online published on 27 April, 2021. Abstract Background The undergraduate students are just in the crucial stage from the adolescence to the adult. They required so much information from online sources, but due to lack of incomplete knowledge regarding cybercrime & cyber safety they became the victim of it. Objectives 1) To assess the awareness regarding cybercrime and cyber safety among undergraduate students. 2) To find out the association between the awareness regarding cybercrime and cyber safety with selected demographic variables. Material and Methods A descriptive study design was used on 60 students of undergraduate Nursing Institute. The purpose of the study was to assess the awareness regarding cybercrime and cyber safety among undergraduate students of Nursing Institute. A student nurse researcher conducted a structured interview schedule for 30-45 minutes to collect data. The collected data was analyzed by using the statistical methods. Result The result revealed that undergraduate nursing students have significant score (15.68) of cybercrime and having poor knowledge that is “poor knowledge” of cyber safety. There was a significance association found between cybercrime and cyber safety with their selected socio-demographic characteristics like age, gender, father occupation, mother occupation, monthly family income, Time spends on Internet, Internet use as, Awareness about cybercrime, feel safe while using Internet, knowledge about Hacking, known victims of cybercrime, cybercrime investigation cell. Conclusion As the need for information in almost all the fields is increasing, the students are suffering more on internet. Nowadays not only for information but also for entertainment and connectivity the internet is mostly used. As the use of interest is increased, in same speed the cybercrimes are increased and most of the early adult age group faced the many more cybercrimes.
