Four different rations containing Sesbania sesban hay only (T1), its combination with jowar stover in. the proportion of 1:1 (T2), 1:3 (T3) and jowar stover + concentrate mixture (T4) were fed to adult Nellore rams in a 4 x 4 Latin Square design. No significant differences were observed in the DM intakeand digestibilities of DM, OM, EE, NDF and hemicellulose, however, digestibilities of CP, CF, NFE, ADF, cellulose and lignin were affected significantly among groups. Animals of ail groups were in positive nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus balance. Sesbania improved the nutrient utilization of jowar stover when fed in a ratio of 1:3 to meet the maintenance requirements of adult Nellore rams.
