Online published on 4 December, 2018. Abstract The present study is to identify the authorship patterns and the degree of collaboration in dental sciences research in India during 1997–2016. For this study, the required data have been collected from Web of Science database. Scientometric tools such as degree of collaboration, collaboration index have been used. Further, authors’ productivity and impact has been analyzed. The study reveals that, total 3098 papers published by 12737 authors, the average number of authors per article is 4.12. The mean value of the degree of collaboration is 0.95 and collaborative index is3.90 during the study period. Pradeep.
