Detection of antibiotic genes from endophytic Pseudomonas fluorescens of cotton Devi P. Ahila Plant Pathology Unit, National Pulses Research Center, Vamban, Pudukkottai Dt Online published on 14 November, 2019. Abstract The production of antibiotics, by endophytic Pseudomonas fluorescens was detected through thin layer chromatography (TLC) with the help of Rf values. Metabolites such as 2, 4-Diacetyylphloroglucinol DAPG (0.5), Phenazine (0.88), Pyrolnitrin (0.60), Pyoluteorin (0.94) and Pyocyanin (0.10) were detected with the Rf values as mentioned in the parenthesis. The genomic DNA of P. fluorescens was amplified with predicted fragment of DAPG (420bp), Phenazine (220 bp), Pyrrolnitrin (530 bp) and Pyoluteorin (359 bp) Top Keywords Cotton, TLC, antibiotic genes, toxin assay.
