Performance of tuberose cultivars under north coastal Andhra Pradesh, India Susila T. Regional Agricultural Research Station, Aharya N.G.Ranga Agricultural University, Anakapalle 531 001, India Online published on 16 September, 2013. Abstract A field experiment was conducted at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Anakapalli of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University Hyderabad during 2003–2004 to find out suitable high yielding varieties for commercial cultivation of tuberose under North coastal zone of Andhra Pradesh. The results indicated that Calcutta single recorded maximum spike length and at par with Hyderabad single and Calcutta double. Sringar produced highest number of flowers per plant (44.5). Significantly higher numbers of spikes were produced in Calcutta single (1.80). Weight of the spike was significantly higher in Hyderabad single (61.9 g).
