Abstract This experimental work was carried out to investigate the effect on concrete strength in terms of compressive and split tensile strength of normal strength concrete of grade M20 medium strength concrete of grade M40 and high strength concrete of grade M60 by adopting Immersion curing, Wet gunny bags curing, Coir mat curing, Sprinkler by normal water, Sprinkler by hot water by changing the temperature as 50°C,60°C, 70°C, Moist sand curing, Membrane curing, Accelerated warm water and Accelerated boiling water curing as per IS 9031:1978. The mix design was found by referring the code books IS 10262:2009, ACI 211.4R-93. The variations in different types of curing are also influence the increase in concrete strength. The test results of this investigation demonstrates the superior strength is achieved in Sprinkler curing by hot water @ 70°C than any other types of curing adopted irrespective of grades of concrete. Top Keywords Accelerated curing, Immersion curing, Membrane curing, Sprinkler curing, compressive strength. Top |
