Abstract

In the modern era of power system, several applications are based on dc to dc switching converters. This paper talks upon the improvements in the dynamic and transient response of phase shift series resonant dc/dc converter. It uses Firefly Optimization Algorithm (FOA) tuned fuzzy sliding mode controller under transient and step load change conditions. The controller regulates the output voltage under the dynamic load conditions. The model of the FOA tuned fuzzy sliding mode controller is implemented using MATLAB SIMULINK. Performance under change in step load is also investigated and reported.
